The wonderful gardens of Morton Arboretum are located nearby Chicago, in Lisle. With almost 2,000 acres of landscaped gardens, mature trees and shrubs, other attractions at the Morton Arboretum include footpaths, a library, a gift shop, a restaurant, a café and over 40,000 plants, covering more than 3,000 different species. The arboretum gardens were originally created in 1922 and are situated 25 miles / 40 km to the west of Chicago.
